Ag Assist seeks a practical on-site assistant to support a short-term, on-farm solar installation project across Canterbury. You will work with a small crew to set up and operationalize solar arrays, focusing on hands-on tasks and safety.

No prior solar experience is required; training will be provided. The role emphasizes preparing equipment, marking grid layouts, and helping the team move efficiently, with potential future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Reliable with a strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Detail-focused and able to follow instructions precisely.
• Physically capable of performing practical outdoor work in variable Canterbury weather.
• Respectful of farm property, people, and established farming practices.
• No prior solar experience required; willing to learn on the job and use supplied PPE.

Responsibilities

• Place reinforcing pegs in preparation for installation.
• Lift and position solar panels on completed grid formations.
