Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking motivated Solar Trade Assistants to support a major project across Hamilton and surrounding areas. You will assist electricians, work hands-on with tools, and help prepare sites while adhering to safety standards.

Pay is $26–$27 per hour with weekly pay, and the role covers local work in Hamilton and nearby areas. Start date is flexible; join a growing solar project and gain hands-on electrical exposure.

Qualifications

• Electrical experience
• Hands-on labour capability
• Strong safety awareness
• Reliable and team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians and other tradespeople with day-to-day site tasks
• Use hand and power tools under supervision
• Prepare work areas and enable access for electrical work
• Dig trenches, pull and lay cables
• Install conduits, cable trays and mounting structures
• Assist with multi-person installations and equipment handling
• Support site setup and cleanup following health and safety rules
