Job summary

Downer is seeking a reliable Cyclic Patrolperson to patrol designated roads in the Mokau and Taumarunui region. You will identify defects and perform routine and emergency maintenance to keep the network safe for public use.

You will respond to emergencies, complete daily reports, and liaise with residents and stakeholders. A Class 2 licence is essential, with Class 4 an advantage; after-hours roster applies.

Qualifications

• Current Class 2 driver licence is essential.
• Class 4 licence would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated roads according to schedule.
• Perform routine pavement repairs, including potholes.
• Clear vegetation and obstructions.
• Maintain rural drainage systems and sumps.
• Record and report safety defects and maintenance needs.
• Provide traffic management support for operations.
• Respond to urgent road emergencies and after-hours roster.
