Job summary

Downer is seeking a Cyclic Patrol person based in the Mokau area to perform programmed road inspections, routine maintenance, and respond to events to keep the roading network safe and accessible.

This hands-on role requires independence, good decision making, and willingness to join an after-hours roster. The role offers a permanent opportunity with 40 hours per week and opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Current Class 2 Driver Licence required.
• Experience in road maintenance or civil construction is highly regarded.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental practices.
• Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours callout roster.

Responsibilities

• Undertake programmed road inspections and routine maintenance tasks.
• Respond to emergency events to keep roads safe and accessible.
• Assist with pavement repairs, drainage maintenance and vegetation control.
• Work across diverse maintenance tasks and operate safely within set standards.
