Bidfood Waipapa is seeking a Nightshift Team Leader (2IC) to work alongside our Nightshift Manager and lead the warehouse team through the night. You’ll be on the floor, solving problems, keeping things moving and ensuring the job gets done right.

This role is ideal for someone ready to step into leadership from a senior picker, leading hand or warehouse operator background. You’ll help onboard new team members, coach peers, and stay calm under pressure while maintaining safety and quality

Formación

• Has warehouse, logistics or distribution experience
• Has forklift experience or is keen to develop their skills
• Is confident using computers and warehouse systems

Responsabilidades

• Help run the nightshift and keep the warehouse moving
• Lead by example – work alongside the team
• Ensure orders are picked accurately, packed correctly and loaded on time
• Help organise people and workload throughout the shift
• Support, coach and train team members
• Onboard new team members and set them up for success
• Spot problems, fix what you can and escalate what you can't
• Keep productivity, accuracy and service levels high
• Support the Nightshift Manager with admin and daily operations
• Step up and take charge when the Manager is away
• Keep the team focused on safety, quality and getting the job done

And when the Nightshift Manager isn't there? You'll be the one stepping up.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Help run the nightshift and keep the warehouse moving
• Lead by example – get stuck in and work alongside the team
• Make sure orders are picked accurately, packed correctly and loaded on time
• Help organise people and workload throughout the shift
• Support, coach and train team members
• Help onboard new team members and set them up for success
• Spot problems, fix what you can and **escalate** what you can't
• Help keep productivity, accuracy and service levels high
• Support the Nightshift Manager with admin and daily operations
• Step up and take charge when the Manager is away
• Keep the team focused on safety, quality and getting the job done

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF...

You're not necessarily a manager yet – but you're ready to become one.

You might already be a senior picker, leading hand, warehouse operator or someone who naturally takes responsibility when things get busy.
