Job summary

Lawson Williams Specialist Recruitment is seeking a hands-on maintenance professional for a night shift role in Marlborough. The position covers bearing changes, repairs, welding and planned maintenance on heavy industrial plant. You will inspect, repair, replace and adjust equipment, then document work and parts used before the next shift.

You’ll work with a small team on a range of machinery, focusing on practical problem-solving and ensuring reliable plant operation with pride in workmanship.

Qualifications

• Real mechanical maintenance experience required.
• Trade qualification is useful but practical ability matters most.
• Background as Maintenance Fitter, Fitter Turner, Mechanical Fitter, Plant Maintenance Engineer or Welder/Fabricator with maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, replace and adjust machinery to keep plant running smoothly.
• Record completed work, parts used and issues found.
• Support practical improvement work across the plant.
• Work across heavy industrial production equipment with a small team.
