NZ Panels Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to own the night shift at our East Tamaki site in Auckland. You will keep plant and equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently while the site sleeps, taking pride in a well‑maintained operation and hands‑on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience with relevant trade qualifications.
• Ability to work autonomously as the sole engineer on site overnight.
• Hands-on CMMS experience and practical mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Front-line fault finding and preventative maintenance across the plant.
• Carry out equipment maintenance and record activities accurately.
• Develop new preventative maintenance procedures to improve reliability.
• Ensure timely repairs to minimise downtime.
• Contribute to ad-hoc engineering projects and site work.
• Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders.
