Job summary

Abbott in Auckland, New Zealand is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to execute planned and reactive maintenance to keep plant, equipment and infrastructure safe, reliable and efficient. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, fault finding and repairs to minimise downtime and support cost-effective manufacturing.

Location: Auckland, NZ. The role requires strong fault-finding, safety practices and ability to work with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Recognized trade qualification in mechanical engineering, mechanical maintenance, fitting and machining, or electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Execute planned preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Inspect, repair, replace and maintain plant and equipment to required standards.
• Return equipment to safe and reliable operation after maintenance.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.
• Escalate complex issues for technical investigation.
