Job summary

Qube Logistics is seeking a confident Hoist Driver to join our Auckland depot, moving empty shipping containers safely and efficiently while adhering to health and safety procedures.

You will operate single and double stacker container hoists up to 45,000 kg, load and unload trucks, and communicate clearly via RT to keep operations running smoothly.

Night shift, Monday to Friday 5:00pm to 3:30am, with guaranteed hours and weekly pay; onsite parking and progression opportunities after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Full NZ Class 1 licence (essential).
• Experience operating heavy vehicles or machinery.
• Strong commitment to safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate single and double stacker container hoists (up to 45,000 kg).
• Move containers around the yard and load/unload trucks.
• Communicate clearly via RT and follow Health & Safety procedures.

About The Job

You’ll be an essential part of our yard operations, responsible for safely and efficiently moving empty shipping containers.

Your day will include:

• Operating single and double stacker container hoists (up to 8 high, max 45,000kg)


• Moving containers around the yard


• Loading and unloading trucks


• Communicating clearly via RT


• Following all Health & Safety procedures

Hours

Night Shift, Monday - Friday 5:00pm - 3:30am

What You Need

• Full NZ Class 1 licence (essential)


• Experience operating heavy vehicles or machinery


• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety


• Flexibility to work across other sites when required


• RT communication skills

NOTE: Container hoists are not standard forklifts — confidence with heavy machinery is essential for success in this role.
