Job summary

Qube Logistics in Auckland is seeking a confident Hoist Driver to join our busy depot and help keep container operations running smoothly. You will safely operate container hoists, move empty shipping containers around the yard, and assist with loading and unloading trucks. A strong safety record and reliable work ethic are essential.

The role is night shift with set hours and on-site parking, and requires a NZ Class 1 licence and experience with heavy machinery. Pre-employment checks apply.

• Strong work ethic, reliability and safety commitment.
• Flexibility to work across other sites when required.
• Pre-employment medical and drug test; MOJ criminal history check; NZ work eligibility.

• Move containers around the yard.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Communicate clearly via RT.

About the Job

You’ll be an essential part of our yard operations, responsible for safely and efficiently moving empty shipping containers.

Your day will include:

• Operating single and double stacker container hoists (up to 8 high, max 45,000kg)
• Moving containers around the yard
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Communicating clearly via RT
• Following all Health & Safety procedures

Hours:

Night Shift, Monday - Friday 5:00pm - 3:30am

What You Need

• Full NZ Class 1 licence (essential)
• Experience operating heavy vehicles or machinery
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety
• Flexibility to work across other sites when required

NOTE:

Container hoists are not standard forklifts — confidence with heavy machinery is essential for success in this role.
