Job summary

Qube Logistics in Auckland is seeking a safety‑conscious Hoist Driver to move empty shipping containers within the yard. You will operate high-capacity hoists, position containers, and support depot operations with precise truck loading.

The role requires a Full NZ Class 1 licence, experience with heavy machinery, and reliable RT communication. This night-shift position offers stable hours and on-site parking at the Auckland depot.

Qualifications

• Full NZ Class 1 licence (essential).
• Experience operating heavy vehicles or machinery.
• Strong RT communication skills and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate single and double stacker container hoists up to 8-high (max 45,000 kg).
• Move containers around the yard and position for loading/unloading.
• Load and unload trucks and coordinate with RT communications.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times.

About the Job

You'll be an essential part of our yard operations, responsible for safely and efficiently moving empty shipping containers.

Your day will include:

• Operating single and double stacker container hoists (up to 8 high, max 45,000kg)
• Moving containers around the yard
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Communicating clearly via RT
• Following all Health & Safety procedures

Hours:

Night Shift, Monday - Friday 5:00pm - 3:30am

What You Need

• Full NZ Class 1 licence (essential)
• Experience operating heavy vehicles or machinery
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety
• Flexibility to work across other sites when required
• RT communication skills

NOTE: Container hoists are not standard forklifts - confidence with heavy machinery is essential for success in this role.
