Job summary

Transam Logistics is seeking an afternoon-shift Container Hoist Driver based in Panmure, Auckland. You will operate container hoists, load/unload 20’ and 40’ containers, and stack units up to seven high as part of our logistics team.

Applicants should have a NZ Class 1 license (Class 2/4 desirable) and be able to pass required background checks. Training may be provided for the right candidate, with full-time hours and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass Ministry of Justice checks, ACC checks and a drug and alcohol test.
• Willingness to undergo background and pre-employment checks.

Our Transam Depot provides full empty container services. In this role, you will be driving single or double stacker Container Hoists, safely loading and unloading 20’ and 40’ containers on and off trucks and stacking containers up to 7 high.

Job Description

About you:

We are looking for people with Full NZ Class 1 License (Class 2 and/or Class 4 would be desirable), with a demonstrated understanding of health and safety practices. You are someone who is able to work as part of a team with an ability to follow procedures – you have high attention to detail.

Although previous Container Hoist experience would be a strong advantage, we are also open to training the right person for the role. As a crucial member of our team, you are a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a commitment to attendance.

Hours of Work:

This role is based in our Panmure location. A minimum of 40 hours a week Monday to Friday between the hours of 3.30pm to 12:00 midnight, with flexibility to work overtime to meet operational requirements required. Great overtime rates (time and a half) offered! This is a full-time permanent role based in Auckland. You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying. The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and/or Pre-Employment Drug Test.
