Job summary

Millennium Services Group Limited in Auckland is seeking an experienced Night Cleaning Supervisor with a strong background in specialist cleaning to lead our night operations in Albany. The role offers an hourly rate of NZD 28 with a rotating roster: Thu 21:30-02:00, Fri 21:30-06:00, Sat-Mon 19:00-04:00.

You will supervise cleaners, meet KPIs, and ensure safety and quality across shifts. You’ll recruit and onboard new team members, train staff, and respond to client requests while maintaining

Qualifications

• Proven specialist cleaning or cleaning supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising a small team of cleaners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials and equipment.
• Full NZ Driver Licence required and access to transport.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a small team of night cleaners.
• Schedule tasks to meet deadlines and SLAs.
• Prioritise tasks under pressure and adapt to needs.
• Assign duties, conduct spot checks, and ensure completion.
• Mentor staff with guidance and support.
• Oversee daily cleaning operations at the client site.
• Meet rotations and KPI targets for the client site.
• Ensure safety standards and company policies are followed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure tools are in good condition.
• Respond to client requests and feedback.
• Maintain rosters and provide shift coverage when required.
• Recruit and onboard new team members.
• Take immediate action during accidents or hazards.
• Carry out 22.5 hours of floor scrubbing and 15.5 hours of specialist cleaning tasks.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Night Cleaning Supervisor with a strong background in specialist cleaning to lead our night operations in Albany.

Hourly rate: $28

Roster

• Thursday: 21:30 - 02:00
• Friday: 21:30 - 06:00
• Saturday-Monday: 19:00 - 04:00

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a small team of night cleaners
• Effective task scheduling to ensure deadlines and SLAs are met.
• Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Assigning duties, conducting spot checks, and ensuring task completion.
• Supporting staff with guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee and participate in daily cleaning operations within the store.
• Meet rotations and KPI's for our client site.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure all tools are in good working condition.
• Respond to client requests and feedback
• Maintain Rosters and provide shift coverage when required
• Recruit and onboard new team members
• Taking immediate and appropriate action during accidents or hazards.
• 22.5 hours of floor scrubbing duties and 15.5 hours of specialist cleaning tasks

About You

• Proven specialist cleaning and/or cleaning supervisory experience.
• Experience in supervising and managing a team.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Good client management skills.
• Ability to train and mentor staff effectively.
• Knowledge and experience of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Basic computer and phone application knowledge.
• Ability to verify certain requirements.
• Knowledge of TBT training, roster management, stock ordering.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence (essential).
• EWP (Elevated Work Platform) certification (required/willing to get one).
• Working at Heights certification (required/willing to get one).
