Job summary

Lexel Systems in Auckland, NZ is seeking a Network & Security Support Engineer (Managed Services) to provide day-to-day operational support, monitoring and continuous improvement of customer networks and security environments. You will deliver Level 2/3 support for managed networking platforms and respond to incidents within SLAs.

You will join a high-performing, 24x7 services team, onboarding new customers and transitioning solutions into BAU, with after-hours on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting Aruba and Fortinet environments in production.
• Current Aruba and Fortinet certifications are required.
• Strong experience in network support and troubleshooting in a managed services context.
• Solid understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi).
• Strong knowledge of network security principles including firewalls, VPNs, access control, and segmentation.
• Experience with monitoring and management platforms such as Aruba Central, FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer, Auvik, Datto.
• Comfortable working to SLAs and ITIL-aligned service processes.
• Ability to participate in after-hours support and scheduled on-call rosters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 support across managed networking and security platforms.
• Respond to incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
• Perform proactive monitoring, maintenance, and optimisation of customer environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues.
• Assist with onboarding new managed service customers and transitioning solutions into BAU.
• Participate in an on-call roster to support customers outside business hours.
• Work closely with Service Delivery Managers, Project teams, and Vendors to ensure consistent service quality.
