Job summary

New Zealand Government in Wellington is seeking a proactive Project/Programme Coordinator to provide end-to-end support to Grid Delivery Project Managers. You will coordinate activities, manage information accurately and help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

You should bring strong financial acumen, excellent communication, and advanced Excel/Office 365 skills. The role is based in Wellington with opportunities to contribute to infrastructure projects and

Qualifications

  • Experience in, or strong interest in, project or programme coordination
  • Sound financial acumen and familiarity with financial management systems
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and exceptions
  • Advanced capability across Microsoft Office and Office 365, including Excel (MS Project is an advantage)
  • Strong organisational, coordination and administrative skills to manage competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key point of contact for project support and information, coordinating activities and administration across the project lifecycle
  • Coordinating and supporting financial management, including forecasting, invoicing, accruals and variance reporting, with Project Managers and finance team
  • Monitoring and analysing reports and performance metrics to support effective project management
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and identifying opportunities for greater efficiency
