Job summary

DairyNZ Limited in Newstead is seeking a senior events leader to shape and deliver national and multi-region events. Based at our Newstead office and reporting to the Head of Communications & Marketing, you will own end-to-end events from design to delivery.

You will coach the Events Marketing Specialist, build cross-functional partnerships, and ensure events meet business goals, brand standards, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of event management experience with large-scale events.
• Experience leading end-to-end event strategy and governance.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead regional teams.
• Experience in budget oversight, supplier negotiations and ROI decisions.
• Experience in agriculture or not-for-profit sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, design and end-to-end delivery of corporate and multi-region events.
• Coach and develop the Events Marketing Specialist to deliver high-impact outcomes.
• Build relationships with DairyNZ and external partners to meet needs.
• Lead community of practice for events, upholding brand standards and data capture.
• Oversee planning, logistics, marketing coordination, registrations, budgets, safety, reporting.
• Use KPIs and post-event insights to drive improvement and show impact.
