Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Account Management, Customer Partnerships, Operations, or Supply Chain leadership.
  • Strong background within transport, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or FMCG environments.
  • Experience managing strategic customer relationships and governance frameworks.
  • Understanding of transport and logistics operations and the drivers of operational performance.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to interpret operational and cost drivers.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A highly organised and proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-value relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Lead regular governance forums, Board of Reviews (BORs), and business review meetings.
  • Monitor and communicate operational performance, service levels, safety outcomes, and customer commitments.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities that create value for both customers and Linfox.
  • Partner with transport operations, safety, IT, finance, and Commercial teams to resolve issues and deliver service excellence.
  • Support existing customer tender and renewal activities through customer knowledge, operational context, and relationship insight.
  • Lead, coach and mentor a customer service team

As a leading logistics and supply chain partner across the Asia Pacific region, we're seeking an experienced National Account Manager - Transport to lead strategic customer partnerships across New Zealand's transport operations. This is a highly visible role where you'll act as the key link between our customers, operational teams, and the leadership team, ensuring strong governance, exceptional service delivery, and long-term commercial success.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive General Manager - NZ, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic national accounts, serving as the trusted advisor to customers while ensuring alignment between customer expectations and operational capability.

Working closely with transport leadership teams, you'll oversee customer governance, performance reviews, service outcomes, safety performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll also play an important role in supporting customer retention and tender opportunities by providing operational and customer insights that contribute to successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
