Qualifications

• Experience as a Commercial Manager from transport or logistics sector.
• Proven experience in commercial finance roles.
• Experience in profit and loss support and complex agreements.
• Strong commercial acumen within transport, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability.
• Prior experience in pricing, including pricing models, rate reviews, or tender support.
• Experience working directly with customers and influencing commercial outcomes through strong stakeholder engagement.

As Commercial Manager, you will support the growth and development of existing and new customer contracts for Linfox NewZealand. Reporting to the General Manager – Finance & Commercial, the role provides commercial insight, financial analysis, and decision support while working closely with customers and senior internal stakeholders.

In this pivotal role, you’ll:

• Provide commercial and financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision‑making
• Support the growth and development of existing and new customer contracts
• Develop and maintain financial models to support pricing, cost optimisation, and commercial decisions
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Lead and deliver finance‑led improvement initiatives and commercial projects
• Partner with customers and senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Operations, and IT

Ō pūkenga | What You’ll Need to Succeed

You are an experienced Commercial Manager from the transport, logistics, or broader supply chain sector, ideally with direct transport industry experience. You are commercially astute, customer‑focused, and confident engaging with senior stakeholders in complex operating environments.

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance (CA qualified or working towards CA preferred)
• Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or senior commercial finance role
• Experience supporting profit and loss businesses and complex commercial agreements
• Strong commercial acumen within transport, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability
• Prior experience in pricing, including pricing models, rate reviews, or tender support
• Experience working directly with customers and influencing commercial outcomes through strong stakeholder engagement
