Wharekauhau Country Estate, a US owned luxury accommodation property located in Palliser Bay, South Wairarapa, seeks an experienced hospitality professional to join our morning service team. The role includes running breakfast, coffee service, stock management, and guest interaction in a small, motivated, supportive environment.
We require 3-5 years in hospitality, a strong work ethic, and an interest in wine and food.
Newly built onsite accommodation available, located at 5 minute-walk for around $150 per week including WIFI, A/C, fully equipped kitchen / bathroom / laundry, rubbish collection, and after hours access to the gym and indoor swimming pool.

The ideal applicant will have 3- 5 years of experience in hospitality and understand that we are here to create an amazing experience for our guests and share memories.
Wharekauhau will manage all uniform supply and laundering (except shoes).
This role will require you to have a mature outlook and approach.
As the property is located 1 hour and 30 minutes from Wellington and due to the sometimes-long hours, ideally you will be located locally.
There is an option for onsite staff accommodation in one of our new communal staff houses (private bedroom, communal cooking, social facilities), with a nominal rental deducted from wages. You will have minimal conflicting domestic commitments that could have a diverse effect or distraction on your employment, then this is an excellent opportunity for you to join this dynamic and growing business.
The property works on a shift system. You will be required to work weekends and some public holidays and allocated two days off per week and these days can change regularly. Hours will vary but there will be a minimum of 30 hours per week and during busy periods in excess of 45 hours
