Job summary

Les Mills is seeking a skilled mobile repair technician in Auckland to join our service team. The ideal candidate has at least three years of mobile phone repair experience and/or a Level 5 IT qualification, with the ability to perform repairs and support customers on-site.

The role involves diagnosing software and hardware issues, installing required software, and maintaining accurate records of repairs and inventory. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive hourly rate in NZD.

Responsibilities

• Determine software/hardware requirements and maintain mobile devices.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve technical problems.
• Identify causes of malfunctions and coordinate repairs or replacements.
• Install device software and ensure up-to-date knowledge of new devices.
• Keep accurate records of repairs and inventory using the POS system.

Job description

We provide high-quality mobile repair service and are the one-stop shop for all your digital device repair needs. The candidate should have at least three years of mobile phone repairing experience and/or min. Level 5 IT qualification. The pay would be from $30- $35 P/h for a full-time and permanent job.

• Determining software and hardware requirements to support and provide requirements with knowledge and the maintenance of mobile phones.
• Responding to inquiries and resolving technical problems.
• Identify causes of software and hardware malfunctions and coordinate and carry out repairs or replacements needed
• Installing and downloading software required by individual customer
• Ensuring efficient use and knowledge of equipment with products knowledge of new devices and software packages that have come into the country with research to support valued customers
• Use knowledge of hardware to repair and replace peripheral equipment and any faults, damage, or other issues with hardware on clients’ devices.
• Refer clients to appropriate avenues where a repair is outside the scope of our business.
• Assist with sales of services (repairing devices) and products (mobile phone-related gadgets)like mobile phone cases, cable, tempered glass, etc
• Install accessories for customers and advise on appropriate product use
• May serve Customers by phone and Email with technical issues raised
• Keep track of all devices and inventory while safeguarding all store stock
• Utilize the point-of-sale system to maintain an accurate record of customer information and the real-time status of each repair
