Job summary

Proroof Ltd in Queenstown, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced roof installer to join our team. You will work under the roofing contractors manager or foreman to install metal roofing and wall cladding in accordance with NZ standards and Proroof quality expectations.

You will handle profiles such as Alpine tray, Standing seam, 5-Rib, corrugate, kahu, true Oak, ensuring manufacturer specifications are met. Daily timesheets and strict safety compliance are required on site.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant roofing experience.
• Ability to install metal roofing and wall cladding per NZ standards.
• Familiarity with flashings and metal profiles.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies, procedures, standards and specifications.
• Maintain safety and wellbeing policy compliance and incident reporting.
• Keep sites tidy and wear the issued uniform.
• Fill out timesheets daily.

• Work under the direction of the roofing contractors manager or foreman.
• Installing all types of metal roofing and wall cladding, including all types of custom flashings that are up to New Zealand standards.
• Work with a variety of metal profiles including Alpine tray, Standing seam, 5-Rib, corrugate, kahu, true Oak etc.
• Develop an understanding of all the policies, procedures, standards and specifications.
• Install all roofing as per manufactures specifications and to the Proroof high roofing quality of standard.
• Ensure all work is in accordance with the Proroof health and safety policy. comply with safety and wellbeing policy and procedures, including accident and incident reporting and hazard management requirements.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and do not undertake activities without appropriate training.
• Maintain as positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner at all times.
• Give and receive feedback on work performance with roofing contracts manager or foreman.
• Wear and maintain uniform supplied at all times.
• Keep work sites tidy as possible.
• No smoking to occur while working off the ground.
• Ensure that all times you have the correct tools required for the job (tool bag, snips, apron, hammer, drill, square, pencil, ruler, chalk line, measuring tape etc.)
• Timesheets must be filled out everyday.
• Minimum 4 years relevant experience required.
