Job summary

POSTIE PLUS GROUP LIMITED in Central Auckland is seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to drive product performance across stores and online.

You’ll partner with Buyers to forecast, plan and manage inventory, price and margins, using data to identify opportunities and minimise risk.

This full-time, permanent role offers a Kiwi retail environment, a collaborative team and opportunities to influence range planning and stock flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandise planning or retail planning.
• Strong Excel skills and understanding of sales, stock, margin and inventory performance.
• Commercially minded with ability using data and insights to influence decisions.

• Develop and manage sales, stock and margin plans, including budgeting, forecasting and Open to Buy (OTB).
• Analyse product performance to identify opportunities, mitigate risks and drive profitable growth.
• Partner with Buyers to build assortments, line plans and purchasing strategies that deliver on customer and business objectives.
• Manage inventory, allocations and replenishment to optimise stock levels across stores and online.
• Support pricing, promotional and clearance strategies to maximise sales, margin and stock productivity.
• Monitor trading performance and provide insights and recommendations to inform key business decisions.
• Work collaboratively with Supply Chain, Retail and eCommerce teams to ensure effective stock flow and product availability.
• Deliver accurate reporting, planning and data management to support category performance and future range planning.

We’re looking for an experienced Merchandise Planner to join our Merchandise team and play a key role in driving the success of our product ranges across stores and online.

Central Auckland location (Ellerslie).

In this role, you’ll partner closely with Buyers to ensure we’re delivering the right products to our customers at the right price and at the right time. Through forecasting, planning and analysis, you’ll drive sales, maximise margin and optimise stock performance across your categories.

You’ll use data and insights to identify opportunities, manage risk and influence key trading decisions, while working collaboratively with teams across Buying, Supply Chain, Retail and eCommerce.
