Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages in New Zealand seeks a compassionate Caregiver for the Waikanae Memory Care Centre. You will join a dedicated team delivering resident-directed care in a secure, supportive setting, assisting with meals, hygiene, and activities to promote quality of life.

The role requires experience with dementia care and strong communication, with a 4 on/2 off roster. We value diversity and offer uniform, health benefits, and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Experience with dementia care.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off.

Responsibilities

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc
