Job summary

Summerset’s Memory Care Centre in Lower Hutt is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our Memory Care Centre team. You will support residents with daily living activities, help create personalised care plans, and lead care provision with a calm, resident-centered approach.

The role requires NZ nursing registration and a current Practising Certificate, with InterRai training preferred. The shifts are Sunday and Monday 8:00am–4:30pm, offering meaningful dementia care in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a memory care unit or dementia residence.
• NZ Registration and Practising Certificate.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, stay calm under pressure and be emotionally resilient.

Responsibilities

• Supporting residents with activities of daily living.
• Co-creating personalised care plans.

• Ensuring timely delivery of care and support.

Typical duties include:

• Supportingresidentswith activities of daily living

• Monitoring and evaluating progress in partnership with the resident and their chosen representatives
• Building trusted therapeutic relationships with residents and their whānau

The shifts and hours for this role entails working Sunday & Monday 8:00am to 4:30pm

As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will be seeking a rewarding role and feel motivated by enhancing residents’ lives.
