Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages is seeking a compassionate Kaitiaki at the Hamilton village to support residents in care, mobility, and daily wellbeing. You will join a close-knit team focused on person-centred care and meaningful engagement.

The role emphasises mobility support, recreation, and mealtime care within structured morning and afternoon shifts, on a casual, as-needed basis. NZQA dementia training and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support residents with meals and drinks, including one-on-one assistance.
• Assist residents with mobility therapy plans and gentle exercise.
• Provide emotional support to residents who are anxious or isolated.
• Help maintain a safe environment and minimize fall risks.
• Support activities with Diversional and Recreational Therapists.
• Record progress notes and alert clinical staff to concerns.
