The Doctors in Auckland region seeks an experienced Medical Receptionist to support our Waimauku and Huapai clinics. This full-time role covers two sites with flexible start times to fit extended hours.
You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a welcoming, efficient patient experience across busy general practice environments. You will manage appointments, phone inquiries, patient enrolment, payments and liaise closely with clinicians and nurses to maintain smooth day-to-day operations
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly, busy and high-performing team across The Doctors Waimauku and The Doctors Huapai.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours across 5 days per week.
The role will be based across both clinics and may include one later start and later finish on a Monday to support our extended clinic hours. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced medical receptionist who enjoys being part of a busy general practice environment, takes pride in providing excellent patient service, and understands just how important an efficient and welcoming reception team is to the successful running of a medical centre.
As one of the first points of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a positive and professional experience from the moment they contact or arrive at the practice.
You will be warm, professional and confident, with the ability to build rapport quickly with patients and colleagues. You understand that working in general practice can be busy and unpredictable and are someone who can remain calm, organised and solution-focused while managing competing priorities. You will bring strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to recognise what needs to be done without always needing to be asked. Importantly, you will have a strong understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality and recognise the responsibility that comes with having access to sensitive health information. Most importantly, you will genuinely enjoy working with people and understand the importance of treating every patient with kindness, dignity and respect.
You will be joining an established and supportive team providing healthcare to the Waimauku, Huapai and wider Northwest Auckland communities.
We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of our team and contribute positively to the culture and day-to-day running of both practices. If you are an experienced medical receptionist, enjoy working in a busy and rewarding healthcare environment, and are passionate about providing an excellent patient experience, we would love to hear from you.
