Job summary

Victoria Clinic and Tu Tonu Hauora in Central Hamilton are seeking a Medical Receptionist to deliver excellent customer service in a busy practice. You will greet patients, manage requests and funder communications, and support the team across day, evening and weekend shifts.

The role requires eligibility to work in New Zealand, a can-do attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task under pressure.

Qualifications

• Be eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Understand Te Tiriti o Waitangi and apply its principles.
• Be open, friendly and warm to put patients at ease.
• Must multi-task and work effectively under pressure.
• Able to learn new systems and ask questions when needed.
• Two years' experience in Medical Reception or busy customer service environment preferred.
• Roster includes day, evening and weekend shifts.
• Training in first two weeks before weekend roster.

Job description

Victoria Clinic and Tu Tonu Hauora are co-located General PracticeClinics and an Urgent Care clinic in Central Hamilton. We offer a strong, supportive team environment. Our focus is prioritizing our patient's needs. Your hours of work are Monday to Sunday 7.30am to 8pm as per roster.

We are looking for someone who can provide excellent customer service with a high degree of professionalism in a busy environment. Accuracy and high attention to detail is required when dealing with patients, their requests and our funders. You must be able to work a combination of day, evening and weekend shifts.

In the 1st 2 weeks of employment you must be available to attend training on consecutive weekdays before transitioning to weekend shifts as per the roster.

To be successful you must

Be eligible to work in New Zealand.

Have a sound understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the ability to apply its principles to your role.

Be open, friendly and warm to put patients at ease.

Have a positive can-do attitude and a fast learner.

Be open to learning new systems and ask questions when the need arises.

Possess a talent for multi-tasking.

Have the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Be able to work a combination of day, evening and weekend shifts.

Medtech Evolution experience preferred but not essential.

A minimum of 2 years experience in a Medical Reception roleorbusy customer serviceenvironment is preferred.
