Stantec's Buildings team in New Zealand seeks a Mechanical Engineer to deliver end‑to‑end mechanical design and project support for data centres, healthcare and other facilities. The role involves site surveys, feasibility studies, calculations and drawings, with close client interaction and bid/proposal support.

Qualifications

• Experience across multiple project sizes from low to high rise.
• Ability to produce calculations, specifications and drawings.
• Strong client communication and proposal/bid support.
• Budgeting and revenue input awareness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys, field investigations and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
• Produce calculations, specifications, and drawings (concept, preliminary, developed and detailed designs), proposals, and reports to ensure that technical content will provide the appropriate solution.
• Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required.
• Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities, including preparing proposal material, and fee estimates as required.
• Engage in providing budgeting and revenue expenditure input, and understand impact of work practices on the financial outcome of projects.
