LNZ International Travel Service Limited in Auckland seeks a Junior Travel Consultant to join our Mandarin-speaking team. You will advise Chinese-speaking clients on NZ travel options, plan itineraries, and manage all bookings from enquiry to trip completion.

This entry-level role offers on-the-job training and exposure to study-abroad partnerships in China, with a focus on developing product knowledge and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Mandarin Chinese and English communication required.
• Knowledge of New Zealand travel products is preferred.
• Experience gained through tourism study or training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to travel enquiries from clients, mainly in Mandarin Chinese.
• Identify each client’s travel objectives, group profile, budget and requirements, and recommend NZ travel products and routes.
• Design and cost tailored itineraries for tour groups, independent travellers and student groups.
• Coordinate with study-abroad and education agencies in China and convert enquiries into bookings.
• Plan age-appropriate activities for study tours, arrange accommodation, transport and supervision.
• Offer advice on local attractions, culture, and tour options.
• Receive client booking requirements and make bookings using Tour Soft system.
• Communicate with NZ suppliers, including hotels.
