Job summary

At Oceania Village in Napier, we are seeking a full-time Maintenance Person to join our dedicated team.

In this role you will undertake a variety of maintenance duties across the site, liaise with external contractors, staff and residents, and help keep our facilities safe and well-maintained. This is a hands-on position ideal for a jack-of-all-trades who values reliability, safety and good communication.

Qualifications

  • Previous trade experience required.
  • Knowledge of the Building Code and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Reliable, self-motivated and capable of thinking on your feet.
  • Good communication with residents, staff and contractors.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Physically fit and able to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Clean NZ driver’s licence and eligibility to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out maintenance duties across the site as a jack-of-all-trades.
  • Coordinating with external contractors and residents.
  • Ensuring compliance and safety across daily tasks.

Atawhai Village in Napier are looking for a full time Maintenance Person to join our dedicated team.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Utilising your skills as a ‘Jack/Jill of all Trades’ to undertake maintenance duties across the site
  • Enjoying a job with plenty of variety, no two days will be the same
  • Liaising with external contractors, staff and residents.
What you’ll bring:
  • Previous trade experience
  • Knowledge of the Building Code and compliance requirements
  • An understanding of Health and Safety
  • Reliability and self-motivation
  • The ability to think outside the box
  • An approachable, friendly nature, as you will have interactions with our residents, visitors, staff and external contractors
