Job summary

Nestlé New Zealand Auckland site is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Fitter to keep our production lines running safely, efficiently and reliably. This one-day shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) involves executing work orders, troubleshooting and maintaining food processing, utilities and packaging equipment, and keeping accurate CMMS records.

You’ll bring a trade qualification, experience with automated equipment and SAP PM or similar systems, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

Trade qualification in maintenance and practical experience in a food manufacturing setting.
Experience with SAP PM or similar maintenance systems.
Strong safety, quality and results focus.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience with automated production and packaging equipment.
Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge and welding/fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

Execute maintenance work orders accurately and on time.
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and improve food processing, utilities and packaging equipment.
Ensure safe, reliable plant operations and compliance with standards.
Maintain maintenance records using the CMMS.
Manage parts and store procedures; respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Contribute to TPM and continuous improvement initiatives; work with operators to improve equipment care.
