Job summary

JB Interiors is seeking a skilled Maintenance Painter/Plasterer to join our team on a full-time basis. We operate mainly in Queenstown and Wanaka but take on projects across Otago. The role focuses on remedial work and touch-ups, with a broad range of interior linings tasks.

Candidates with plastering, gib fixing and rondo experience will be highly preferred. You will work closely with our South Island manager, handling painting, plastering, gib fixing, and site checks to ensure a smooth

JB Interiors is seeking a skilled Maintenance Painter/Plasterer to join our team on a full-time basis. We work mainly in Queenstown and Wanaka but take on projects all over the Otago region. The role is for someone skilled in high level painting and will mainly be remedial work and touch ups but will include a large range of work in the interior linings field. Candidates with plastering, gib fixing and rondo experience will be highly preferred.

What you'll be doing

Working closely with our South Island manager you'll be completing a large range of painting work, from remedial work to full houses. Performing plastering and gib fixing work where required. Liaising with subcontractors and performing site checks to ensure smooth workflow across a broad range of sites.

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a painter and plasterer, ideally gained within a professional painting company.

Strong knowledge of painting techniques, including brush application, roller use, and spray painting methods

Proficiency in plastering and plasterboard installation, with the ability to achieve high-quality finishes

Competence in surface preparation and understanding of different paint types and their appropriate applications

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work that meets or exceeds quality standards

Valid driver's license. Company fuel card will be provided and a vehicle will be provided after a trial period.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members

Health and Safety awareness and a commitment to maintaining safe working practices on all projects

Flexibility and willingness to adapt to varying project requirements and schedules
