Job summary

Dimond Structural, part of the Fletcher Building Group, Auckland, is seeking an experienced Machine Operator for the morning shift (6am–2:30pm), Monday to Friday. You will operate the assigned machine and be trained and signed off to produce products to meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in or willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Safety conscious with high safety standards.
• Good written communication and basic math.
• Able to lift 25kg.
• Gantry/forklift license preferred but not required.

Job description

Dimond Structural manufactures steel purlin and composite flooring products for the construction industry. All our products are manufactured in New Zealand to the highest of standards, and we are proud to be part of the successful Fletcher Building Group.

We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our talented team in Auckland. You will join a small, close knit team, working on our morning shift 6am-2.30pm, Monday to Friday. This role is responsible for operating the machine that you will be trained and signed off on to produce products to meet the customer specs & services for Dimond Structural. It is essential that the position holder works with all business teams/members to maintain a high service culture. This will support our focus on delivering our service commitment to our customers and achieving our Production targets

About you:

• You will be a mechanically minded person who has experience in or wants to work in our manufacturing environment
• Show a high attention to detail as you will be recording materials and ensuring accuracy
• You display that you are safety conscious, as you know working in a production environment means you need to work to high safety standards
• Have a good standard of written communication is also required as well as basic mathematics
• Be comfortable with lifting 25kgs
• Gantry/forklift license is preferred but not necessary
