Job summary

Laminex New Zealand, part of the Fletcher Building group, is seeking a Rolling Team Member/Forklift Operator in Hamilton to support production through accurate stock handling and order preparation.

The role runs 42 hours per week, with a Monday–Thursday schedule 8:30am–5:00pm and Friday 8 hours, including a paid lunch break. Safety, teamwork, and precision are essential in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience within a manufacturing/production environment.
• Current forklift licence and forklift experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good counting and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
• The ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment.
• A proactive approach and willingness to support the team as needed.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate an electric forklift to move large paper pallets throughout the plant and support stock management activities.
• Prepare paper orders to match daily production schedules and sort the paper into different orders.
• Responsible for stock control including, counting, sorting and handling paper products with a high degree of accuracy.
• Assisting with warehouse operations during peak periods and to support team requirements.

We are looking for a Rolling Team Member/Forklift Operator to join our team in Hamilton. This hands-on role involves preparing paper products for production, ensuring materials are accurately counted, sorted, and delivered to the press in the correct sequence. Working in a small team, you'll enjoy a high level of autonomy while playing a key role in keeping production running smoothly.

What you'll be doing:
