Job summary

Miele New Zealand is seeking a Logistics & Operations Specialist to optimize inventory, support the Sales team and drive operational excellence across the supply chain.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party logistics providers, you'll combine analytical thinking with relationship management to improve inventory performance, enhance operational efficiency and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics or operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel.
  • Nice-to-have experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Experience in sales operations or commercial support.
  • Exposure to inventory reporting, KPI analysis and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as ASW, Cognos or similar business systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory across multiple stock categories, ensuring optimal stock availability, integrity and efficient product lifecycle management.
  • Coordinate sales support activities including order processing, display stock management, point-of-sale distribution and customer enquiries.
  • Build strong relationships with Sales teams, third-party logistics providers and business partners to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor inventory performance through stocktakes, cycle counts, reconciliations and proactive inventory planning.
  • Manage the returns process, including approvals, reconciliations and root-cause analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop KPI reporting and operational insights to support business decisions and improve supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with Australian planning teams and New Zealand stakeholders to drive efficiency, reduce waste and optimise inventory investment.

About Your Workplace

Your Responsibilities

What We Are Looking For
