Job summary

Silver Fern Farms Ltd is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager in Christchurch to lead a key fulfillment portfolio and shape the future of logistics across the business. The role combines operational excellence with continuous improvement, stakeholder leadership, and capability development within the Order Fulfilment Lead Team.

• Proven leadership experience in logistics or supply chain.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence across functions.
• Experience leading operational improvement and change initiatives.
• Strong analytical capability with data-driven decision making.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI.
• Experience with logistics systems such as CargoWise and M2X.

• Lead fulfillment operations across your portfolio to achieve service, cost, inventory, and customer targets.
• Build strong partnerships across Operations, Planning, Commercial, Customer Services, and external logistics providers to align priorities and deliver customer outcomes.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, visibility, and service performance across the supply chain.
• Support and embed change initiatives, new ways of working, and future logistics capability.
• Use data and insights to identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve operational performance.
• Manage key logistics partners and service providers to ensure performance, compliance, and value delivery.

As part of the ongoing evolution of our logistics function, we're looking for a Logistics Manager to lead a key fulfillment portfolio and help shape the future of logistics across our business.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics leader to combine operational excellence with continuous improvement, stakeholder leadership, and capability development. Working as part of the Order Fulfilment Lead Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer commitments are delivered efficiently, and on time.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Leading fulfillment operations across your portfolio to ensure service, cost, inventory, and customer performance targets are achieved.
• Building strong partnerships across Operations, Planning, Commercial, Customer Services, and external logistics providers to align priorities and deliver customer outcomes.
• Leading and developing a high-performing team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

You are a collaborative and commercially minded logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading people through change. You are equally comfortable managing day-to-day operations and identifying opportunities to improve how work gets done.

You’ll Bring

• Proven leadership experience in logistics, supply chain, transport, warehousing, or fulfillment operations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across multiple functions.
• Experience leading operational improvement and change initiatives.
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Experience with logistics systems such as CargoWise and M2X.
• A focus on customer outcomes, continuous improvement, and team development.
