Job summary

Keith Andrews Trucks is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to keep our vehicles moving smoothly from arrival to delivery. The role works with Sales, workshop and external suppliers to coordinate movements, preparation, and documentation, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate records.

You will manage vehicle movements across branches, organise transport, bookings, and grooming, and ensure compliance and quality checks are completed before handover.

Qualifications

• Full clean NZ driver licence, Class 2.
• Practical understanding of commercial vehicles and accessories.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Clear communication across teams.
• Proficient with computer systems and record-keeping.
• Proactive with prioritisation and task follow-through.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience in logistics or vehicle coordination is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle movements across branches, workshops, body builders and external suppliers.
• Organise transport and drivers to meet operational requirements and delivery dates.
• Coordinate workshop bookings and external work, monitoring progress and delays.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle location, condition and preparation status.
• Inform Sales and Logistics management of progress, delays and issues affecting delivery.
• Coordinate vehicle grooming to meet delivery dates.
• Inspect incoming vehicles for damage and complete reports.
• Allocate stock numbers and keep vehicle tracking systems up to date.
• Arrange quotes and purchase orders for vehicle work and accessories.
• Track vehicle preparation and build progress with workshops and suppliers.
• Ensure correct accessories meet customer specifications.
• Ensure compliance, certifications and documentation are completed before delivery.
• Complete final quality checks and resolve outstanding issues before release.
• Confirm payment clearance or written approval before releasing any vehicle.
• Coordinate vehicle deliveries and customer handovers.

About The Role

This role focuses on coordinating vehicle movements, workshop bookings and vehicle preparation through to delivery.

You’ll work closely with Sales, the workshop, the wider Logistics team and external suppliers to keep vehicles progressing, maintain accurate information and ensure delivery requirements are met.

Clear communication, forward planning and attention to detail will be essential to your success.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate vehicle movements across branches, workshops, body builders and external suppliers.
• Organise transport and drivers to meet operational requirements and delivery dates.
• Coordinate workshop bookings and external work, monitoring progress and following up on delays.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle location, condition and preparation status.
• Keep Sales and Logistics management informed of progress, delays and any issues affecting delivery.
• Coordinate vehicle grooming requirements with the relevant team to meet delivery dates.

Incoming Stock & Vehicle Preparation

• Inspect incoming vehicles for damage and complete reports
• Allocate stock numbers and keep vehicle tracking systems up to date.
• Arrange quotes and purchase orders for vehicle work and accessories.
• Track vehicle preparation and build progress, coordinating with workshops, body builders and suppliers.
• Work with Sales, workshops and body builders to ensure each truck is fitted with the correct accessories and equipment to meet the customer’s agreed specifications.
• Ensure required compliance, certifications and documentation are completed before delivery.
• Complete and document final quality checks, ensuring outstanding issues are resolved before release.
• Confirm payment clearance or the required written approval before releasing any vehicle.
• Coordinate vehicle deliveries and customer handovers.

What We’re Looking For

• A full, clean NZ driver licence, with a minimum of Class 2.
• A practical understanding of commercial vehicles, truck bodies and accessories, with the ability to interpret customer specifications and coordinate the work required.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Clear communication and the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Confidence using computer systems and maintaining accurate records.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow tasks through to completion.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and customer service.
• Previous experience in logistics, vehicle coordination or the commercial transport industry would be an advantage.
