Job summary

Kāpiti Coast District Council’s new library hub in Waikanae invites a proactive Hub Administrator to provide administration, operations and frontline customer service for Te Ara Whetū. You will support the Hub Lead and team to keep the hub running smoothly and to create a welcoming space for our community.

You will coordinate bookings, programmes and events, and contribute to a positive, collaborative working environment, including leadership during Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven administration and customer service experience.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Current and valid NZ Driver licence.
• Proactive, solution-focused mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Comfort with digital systems and learning new software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative and operational activities for Te Ara Whetū.
• Support Hub Lead and wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Provide leadership and support during Saturday opening hours.
• Assist with venue bookings, programmes, events and community activities.
• Deliver a welcoming and engaging experience for the community.
