Job summary

The University of Waikato invites applications for fixed‑term Library Services assistants in Hamilton. You will help organise library collections and ensure access to materials, with duties including shelving and maintaining an orderly environment, from late October to 18 December 2026.

Applicants must provide available work hours and be able to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week, with flexible hours between 8:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and able to commit to fixed term.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Able to lift and move library materials safely.
• Current study at the University of Waikato is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing and organizing library materials.
• Identify items needing attention and shelving.
• Maintain orderly, welcoming environment.
• Support collections work in Te Manawa.
