Christchurch East School in the heart of the city seeks a Learning Assistant (Teacher Aide) to work with Years 1–8 students, supporting diverse learners and contributing positively to our school community.

This fixed-term, term-time role for the 2027 school year begins 1 February 2027. Hours range approximately 15–27 per week during school hours and will be negotiated with the successful candidate; appointment under the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement.

About the role

We seek a Learning Assistant (Teacher Aide) to work with students with differing needs in Years 1 - 8 to support learning and contribute positively to our school community.

This is a fixed-term, term-time only position for the 2027 school year, commencing on 1 February 2027. Hours of work (approximately 15 - 27 per week during school hours) will be negotiated with the successful candidate. Employment Agreement: Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement 2026 - 2028; Teacher Aide Grade B/C, based on skills, experience and qualifications.
