Job summary

BestStart Waitangirua in Porirua is seeking a compassionate and proactive Teacher Aide for a 3-month fixed-term role, 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will support tamariki with diverse learning needs, assist teachers, and help maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment within our Waitangirua centre.

No ECE qualification is required, but experience with children under five and a genuine passion for supporting young learners are essential.

About the Role

We're seeking a compassionate and proactive Teacher Aide to support our teaching team and tamariki in this 3-month fixed-term position, working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

This role will involve supporting children with diverse learning needs, working alongside teachers to create meaningful learning experiences, and helping children participate confidently in daily routines and play. You'll build strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, and the teaching team while contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

In this role, you'll:

What we're looking for
