Campbells Bay School is seeking a positive, solutions‑focussed person to support learners. This may involve 1:1 student support or small group literacy and mathematics assistance. The role is a fixed-term position from 9:00 a.m.

to 1:00 p.m., Monday to Wednesday, 12 hours per week during the 2027 school year. Key responsibilities include connecting with students with diverse needs, working with teachers, and adapting the programme as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to connect with students with behaviour and learning needs.
• Good English communication skills preferred.
• Be able to use initiative and reflect on the programme and modify where necessary.

Responsabilités

• Support learners 1:1 or in small groups for literacy/mathematics.
• Work alongside classroom teachers and follow instructions for student support.
• Observe, reflect on the programme and adapt activities as needed.
• Uphold school values: Manaakitanga, Manawanui, Mahi Tahi, Manawa Reka.

We are looking for a positive, solutions focussed person to help support our learners. This could possibly be 1:1 student support or taking small groups of students for literacy / mathematics support.

This position is fixed term from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm Monday to Wednesday = 12 hours (school term weeks only for the remainder of the 2027 school year).

Position requirements:

• Ability to connect with students with behaviour and learning needs and form a positive relationship.
• Work alongside the classroom teachers and receive instructions and guidance for how to support the student.
• Be able to use initiative and reflect on the programme and modify where necessary.
• We would prefer someone with previous teacher aide experience and who has good English communication skills.
