You will oversee documentation, scanning, loading, and securing loads, while coaching teammates and delivering high standards of customer service.

This full-time on-site role offers a weekday rhythm with occasional Saturdays, and opportunities for career progression within a company

Qualifications

• Forklift licence (Full Class 1 or higher) and DG Certificate preferred.
• Good command of English and numeracy.
• Experience with handling large freight and load plans.
• Ability to lead and supervise a team.
• Reliable transport for early starts.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day warehouse and yard operations.
• Ensure all freight is sorted, receipted, labelled, scanned and allocated to manifests/destination.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
• Verify all documentation, consignment notes, scanning and DG requirements.
• Ensure loads are secured, compliant and within legal weight limits.
• Monitor and maintain safe traffic flow and site conditions.
• Ensure chilled/frozen goods are checked and stored promptly.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free site both internal and external.
• Provide coaching, direction and support to team members.
• Deliver high standard of customer service to stakeholders.

Lead Storeman / Fork Hoist Operator - Sealink Travel Group - East Tamaki, N, NZ

This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth. We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on Lead Storemen / Fork Hoist Operator to support the day-to-day operations of our logistics division servicing Waiheke and Great Barrier Islands. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth, safe and compliant handling of all inbound and outbound freight. You will oversee the accurate documentation/scanning of all inbound/outbound freight, while ensuring freight is loaded securely and ready on time to meet daily sailing schedules. This role operates primarily Monday to Friday, with start times between 5am and 6:00am and finishing between 3:00pm and 4:00pm. There may be occasional Saturday work required to support operational requirements, including weather-related sailing disruptions.

Key Accountabilities

• Support day-to-day warehouse and yard operations
• Ensure all freight is sorted, receipted, labelled, scanned and accurately allocated to manifests \& destination
• Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently
• Verify all documentation, consignment notes, scanning of and Dangerous Goods requirements
• Ensure loads are secured, compliant and within legal weight limits
• Monitor and maintain safe traffic flow and site conditions
• Ensure all chilled and frozen goods are checked, stored promptly and correctly
• Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free site internal/external
• Provide coaching, direction and support to fellow team members
• Deliver a high standard of customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Forklift licence Full Class 1 licence or higher Dangerous Goods Certificate Current First Aid Certificate (advantageous)
• Good command of English \& high level of numeracy
• Strong understanding of safe loading, strapping and freight handling
• Experience handling, loading, scanning and unloading oversized freight such as 10-14 metre timber, water tanks and other large freight (advantageous)
• Ability to accurately interpret freight documentation and load plans
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritise under pressure
• Proven experience in linehaul night loading, logistics or freight environment
• Leading hand or supervisory experience
• Reliable transport to support early morning starts
