Job summary

Atticus Finch Holdings Limited in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, is seeking two experienced Duty Managers to oversee daily restaurant operations, supervise staff, and ensure service standards and compliance with health and safety requirements.

The full-time role averages 30 to 40 hours per week, with pay starting from $30 per hour. Successful candidates will manage front-of-house and kitchen coordination, monitor stock and food safety, and maintain records and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or hospitality operations with supervision.
• Ability to manage operational demands and customer issues.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with cash handling and POS transactions.
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations during shifts.
• Supervise and coordinate staff duties for coverage.
• Provide on-the-job training and staff induction.
• Ensure quality, hygiene, and service standards.
• Address customer enquiries and resolve issues.
• Manage opening/closing, cash handling, POS.
• Monitor stock and coordinate procurement.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing.
• Maintain records of attendance, stock, cash, complaints.
• Implement procedures and provide feedback.
• Make operational decisions to maintain service continuity.
