Job summary

Environment Canterbury is seeking an experienced information management leader to drive modern information management and digital workplaces, including M365 capabilities, across the organisation. You will lead a team, guide policy compliance, and collaborate with senior leaders to improve decision-making through better information governance.

The role emphasises people leadership, strategic thinking, and delivering practical outcomes in a regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading information management functions in large, complex organisations.
• Strong ability to drive systems improvement and organisational change.
• Proven capability to deliver customer-focused information solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of information management services.
• Manage enterprise information systems, including M365 and related platforms.
• Drive adoption of modern digital ways of working and information management capabilities.
• Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
• Ensure staff align with information management policies, legislation, and archival requirements.
• Build strong relationships with senior leaders, vendors, and key stakeholders across the organisation.
• Lead change initiatives that improve information culture, user adoption, and modern digital ways of working across the organisation.
• Provide thought leadership contributing to strategic direction and delivery of practical outcomes.
