Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of automation and software projects. You will deliver complex control and digital solutions, including AVEVA systems, with a strong emphasis on customer outcomes and on-site delivery.

You will collaborate with engineering, sales, and cross-functional teams across Australia and New Zealand, while ensuring safety, quality, and timely project completion in a dynamic energy management landscape.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Engineers Australia Certification is great).
Experience delivering Industrial Automation Engineering projects with AVEVA System Platform or AVEVA MES/Production.
Strong understanding of industrial networking concepts (switches, routers, firewalls).
Ability to interpret process descriptions and develop technical specs and designs.
Exposure to Industry 4.0 tech including IoT, data analytics, edge computing, cloud integration, cybersecurity.
Knowledge of Schneider Electric offerings and digital twins is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across Automation, Control, Software, and Digital Twin projects.
Plan, schedule, and manage resources for customer delivery and service outcomes.
Oversee on-site tasks while ensuring HSE, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Pre-Sales, HSE, and Supply Chain across local and global teams.
Develop team skills and foster workforce development for future capability.
