John Deere in New Zealand is seeking a Lead Engineer to advance our Smart Connected Factory journey, combining engineering, automation, digital technologies and data-driven decisions to boost performance.

You will collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, IT and global teams to deliver practical technology solutions that enable smarter, more connected, and more efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors level degree in a technical discipline with strong manufacturing exposure.
• 4+ years in manufacturing, automation, industrial engineering or technology environments.
• Proven ability to design and implement data-driven manufacturing improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support for manufacturing systems, automation and production tech.
• Lead Smart Connected Factory initiatives to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Deploy automation and digital solutions to improve safety, quality, productivity.
• Design reports and dashboards using Power BI, SQL, Ignition and ERP data.
• Collaborate with Global IT to resolve critical system and infrastructure issues.
• Translate operational needs into effective technology solutions.
