Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer – Embedded Software to shape the technical direction of our embedded platform across firmware, connectivity and device software.

You will lead a talented team, setting engineering standards and working with Product Managers, Hardware, and Cloud engineers to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions that help farmers operate more efficiently.

Qualifications

Extensive experience developing embedded software for commercial products.
Strong expertise in C/C++, RTOS, embedded Linux or similar platforms.
Experience designing scalable embedded software architecture.

Responsibilities

Leading the architecture and technical direction of embedded software platforms for Gallagher's core products and solutions.
Providing hands-on technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews and problem solving.
Coaching and developing embedded software engineers.
Driving engineering excellence, quality and continuous improvement.
Influencing technology strategy across multiple product programmes.
Collaborating across software, hardware and product teams to deliver connected devices.
