Job summary

Gallagher Animal Management in Hamilton leads hardware development for its eShepherd solutions. As Hardware Engineering Lead, you’ll oversee electronics and mechanical engineers from concept through field deployment, helping shape the technology roadmap and product strategy.

Based in Hamilton, you’ll collaborate across Product, Firmware, Software, Manufacturing and Customer teams to translate customer feedback into robust, scalable hardware solutions that perform in demanding farming

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience leading engineering teams developing complex hardware or IoT products.
• Strong product development expertise from concept through to production.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Passion for coaching engineers and building high-performing teams.
• Sound technical judgement, commercial awareness and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hardware engineering function behind eShepherd hardware.
• Shape technology roadmap and influence product strategy.
