Job summary

The Village Early Learning Centre Auckland is looking for a confident and nurturing centre Manager to lead the thriving centre and support educational, professional and operational success.

You will oversee professional growth cycles, mentor teachers, and guide improvement through evaluative practices, while managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance and high standards of care and education for tamariki and whānau.

Qualifications

• Has at least two years of experience as Centre Manager in a New Zealand early childhood centre and holding NZ teacher registration.
• Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, curriculum leadership and ECE regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading professional growth cycles and mentoring teachers.
• Confident using evaluative practices, internal evaluation and reflective inquiry to guide improvement.
• Builds respectful and collaborative relationships with children, whānau, kaiako and the wider community.

• Lead professional growth cycles, mentoring and reflective practice; support teachers to set meaningful development goals; use evaluative practices to strengthen teaching and learning.
• Oversee the centre’s day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance, strong relationships and consistently high standards of care and education.
